Release overview — November 2025
The Curiosity Team
November was about answers you can trace: the assistant quotes the passages it relies on, and search results show where they come from and how your query was read. Curiosity Workspace also gained data migration tasks and a sharing dialog you review before applying.
AI answers backed by source snippets
The built-in AI search tool now combines keyword and similarity search and returns the most relevant passages from each matching file rather than whole documents. Answers cite those passages and link each claim back to where it came from. Individual chat messages can also be excluded from indexing, so transient or sensitive ones stay out of search.
Search results with context
- Results show their parent folder and parent file, such as the archive or OneNote notebook they live in.
- The "parsed as" explanation shows how your query was understood, even when only one result type comes back.
- A search can be restricted to specific indexes.
- Type facet counts are no longer inflated on merged results, and clearing facets also clears pre-activated filters.
Sharing you review first
The redesigned sharing dialog stages every change and applies them only when you click Apply. You can add or remove an item's administrators, and other users who can access the item see the change right away.
For administrators
- Data migration tasks: define, schedule and run migrations in code from a dedicated screen, with live progress, cancellation and status reset.
- Self-healing health monitoring: a helper process restarts the workspace if it stops responding.
- A cleaner Compare Workspace Definitions view, with toggles to show only what changed.
- Per-endpoint monitoring, text indexes on enum fields, and a CLI
wait-forcommand that polls a workspace until it is ready.
"Check your custom code"
The endpoint-runner method is now RunEndpointAsync; update code that used the
previous name. Custom code indexes must also check their cancellation token, or
they fail validation.
For developers
- Custom code in endpoints, indexes and tasks can call a workspace AI tool, and script-based AI tools can call endpoints or other AI tools.
- Server-side search requests expose the same facet helpers the UI uses.
- Triggering a chat from an endpoint validates the conversation state and can restrict which tools the assistant may use.
- The integration SDK batches log messages and adds a rate limiter.
The little things
- An optional prompt to confirm before signing out.
- Outlook template files (.oft) are extracted and indexed.
- PST archive tasks flag accounts that need to re-authenticate.
- Editing or deleting an endpoint takes effect immediately.
This overview covers builds v25.11.62601 → v25.11.62969. For the full, build-by-build detail see the changelog.
