Release overview — May 2026
The Curiosity Team
May was a big one: Curiosity got easier to scale, easier to extend with agents, and — the headline — easier to operate by simply talking to it.
Meet the Workspace Admin Agent
The standout of the month. The Workspace Admin Agent lets administrators design, change and operate workspaces conversationally. It can introspect every configurable surface and propose reviewable changes before applying them — so you stay in control while skipping the menu-hunting.
"Reviewable by design"
The agent never changes things behind your back. It proposes; you review and approve. Configuration as a conversation, with a safety net.
Reusable agents
- Define your own agents with a name, description, system prompt, icon, model, tools and output schema.
- An agent editor with an icon picker, a searchable tools grid, and a Variables panel that detects placeholders automatically.
- Agents are included in workspace export/import, with automatic cleanup under your retention policy.
Built to scale
- Streaming replicas. Workspaces can run with replicas that stream changes from the primary over the network, stay in sync with file content, validate transferred data, and report lag.
- Per-user rate limiting, stored in the workspace with usage monitoring.
- A low-memory mode for server deployments, and reliable edge persistence for nodes with 128+ connections.
A platform-grade admin
The spring admin redesign came together this month:
- A new navigation rail groups administration into five sections — Home, Operate, Build, Govern, Configure — each with its own landing page and focused sidebar, at stable, predictable addresses.
- Endpoint Access and AI Tool Access views to review and change access models; sandboxed, read-only endpoint scopes with save-time warnings.
- A command palette (Ctrl/Cmd + P) that fuzzy-searches endpoints, tools, prompts, tasks, indexes and integrations; open tabs are remembered in the URL.
- A Build → Skills section for authoring custom skills in markdown.
Branding & content
- Attach custom CSS classes to search-result cards and node preview panels to match your brand.
- Better text extraction from obfuscated PDFs via automatic OCR detection — and a new helper that turns any file into Markdown in one call, running OCR transparently for scanned documents.
This overview covers builds v26.5.66346 → v26.5.66903. For the full, build-by-build detail see the changelog.
