Release overview — August 2025

The Curiosity Team
•

August was a quieter month spent on keeping your data flowing: the connectors that feed Curiosity Workspace got better at handling expired credentials, dropped connections and unreachable servers. Four releases this month.

Syncs that recover instead of failing

Scheduled syncs for email (IMAP), Google Calendar and Drive, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, contacts and pCloud now recognize expired or invalid credentials, blocked access, dropped connections and cancelled operations. Instead of failing the whole sync, they signal that a connection needs re-authentication.

  • Missing files and unsupported server features are handled cleanly.
  • Unexpected errors are logged with enough context to identify the affected item.

Confluence and Microsoft 365

  • Confluence imports content completely, downloads attachments as the right user, refreshes authentication during long runs, and treats an unreachable server as a transient condition rather than ending the run.
  • OneNote, OneDrive and SharePoint handle folders, notebooks and transient errors better, and check whether notes can be indexed before indexing them.

Search and selection

  • Save and restore searches: the query builder exports a search to a portable text form and rebuilds it later, so a configured query can be persisted, shared or reloaded.
  • Selecting a result clears selections in other search areas, and bulk actions deselect their items once they finish.
  • Contact bubbles show people and contacts as a compact avatar and name.

For administrators

  • New endpoints now default to running asynchronously and being open to all users.
  • A user who no longer qualifies as a system administrator at sign-in loses the role promptly.
  • Requests blocked by Azure OpenAI's content policy are reported as content moderation, not a generic failure.
  • The connector SDK lets you configure the websocket client (headers, proxies) when listening to messages.

The little things

  • Untitled documents and files show "(No Name)" instead of a blank label.
  • The in-document match counter truncates with an ellipsis and shows the full count on hover.
  • Space commands use your workspace's own term for a Space.
  • Instant extraction and PDF preview wait when the OCR queue is full, and an already-extracted file is no longer reported as an error.

This overview covers builds v25.8.60218 → v25.8.60502. For the full, build-by-build detail see the changelog.
